Sparkl’s passion for service, advocacy, and community service can be traced back to her community service where she has been a leader in the Hazelwood School District as an elected Board of Education member (Secretary),  a former PTA Council President, and co-founder of the Women’s Empowerment Network. She has been recognized as Volunteer of the Year by Hazelwood School District several times. In addition, she is recognized as a leader with various organizations for her time where she has assisted others.
